Radio control cars are basically scaled model cars. These models may be controlled from a distance using either a 2 or 3 channel remote control transmitter. If you are hooked on RC powered hobbies and are focused on RC cars your selection options are unlimited with RC car models. Types of RC cars that hobbyists or collectors may choose from include truggies, on-road cars, off-road buggies, minis, monster trucks, and stadium trucks. These RC car models may either be nitro or electric-powered.

Jet RC planes are among the RC aircraft types that have won the hearts of many people who are into radio control hobbies. RC jets come in different types. Some types are best for beginners while others may be flown only by experienced RC fliers. If you want to fly your own radio control jets, choose the model and type of RC jet you want to fly, but consider that price for many models may also be a factor. Some RC jets can be very costly, particularly the gas or nitro-powered models. Types of RC jets that you can choose from include gas turbine jets, EDF (electric ducted fan) jets, and prop-powered jets. Gas turbine jets are not for beginners. For less expensive jets, and for beginners, choose to buy the EDF jet RC plane models.

RC helicopters is another type of RC aircraft that are continuously rising in popularity. These RC powered models also come in various types. There are 2 channel helicopters, 3 channel helicopters, 4 channel helicopters, and 6 channel helicopters. Each type is geared towards a particular experience level so RC control hobbyists can freely choose which type works best for them based on their individual preferences. Each type may also fall into one of two different classifications: coaxial helicopters and single rotor helicopters.

Model RC airplanes, still another type of radio control aircraft, are very much in demand among RC hobby lovers. There are a large variety of these planes that you can choose from including aerobatic or stunt planes, sport planes, float planes for use on the water, bi-planes, warbirds and fighters, and trainer planes. These planes also cover a wide range of scale sizes.

If you are not interested in the different models of RC cars, jets, airplanes or helicopters, you may appreciate the various models of radio control boats. Like the other types of radio control models mentioned above, RC boats can be a great deal of fun on the water. These RC boats may not have the flying ability of RC aircraft but some models can rival the speed of RC cars. Model choices are also wide and varied including speedboats, PT boats, Destroyers and even Aircraft Carriers! They can be utilized on ponds or lakes or most any body of water through the use of a hand-held remote control transmitter as well. RC boats can be bought in Ready-to-Run (RTR) models or you can buy a DIY kit and assemble the boat yourself.

These different types of RC powered models can provide hours of entertainment for people of all ages. And with the onset of new technology, the future for Radio Control Hobbies looks bright indeed!
