Radio controlled helicopters, or RC helicopters are a kind of model airplanes. These models come in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs. Some are made for speed, while others are made for greater maneuverability. The aircraft is powered by small servo motor in the center and operated by a remote control and antenna design.
RC helicopters are flown by hobbyists for popular entertainment and recreation. Although some practice to master them, they finally fun to fly. Besides flying for fun, they can also be used in remote inspection, filming, aerial photography, and even the police. Specialized aircraft are usually quite expensive and can only be purchased from the manufacturer.
Helicopters are harder to fly than airplanes, because they require the user to balance the thrust and control at the same time. Like a real-life pilot, the operation of the yoke and pedals, remote control and the pilot must use both controllers at once. Some helicopters are easier to fly by automating some of the processes, but customers will still have to learn how to fly.
A helicopter is a much more useful aircraft compared with around a glider or a jet model. A glider requires constant wind to fly, so it's not conducive to the areas that are windy. Model jets large amount of space for horizontal flight, which is a luxury that some people have not. Helicopters do not have room for takeoff and landing, so they can be almost anywhere flown. Smaller version can even be flown indoors if you're careful not to touch the walls or ceiling.
The average jet model has a lifetime of flight ten to fifteen minutes. RC helicopters are much slower, but they can last for over half hour. High speed helicopters are much faster, but their flight is limited to the same as a model jet. Most motors are driven by a set of normal batteries and can be replaced at every supermarket. However, high-end devices can be powered by gasoline, diesel, or even nitrous oxide. While these planes are very fast, they are quite popular because of their premium cost. The most popular helicopters have lithium batteries that can last for thirty minutes. Once the battery life is exhausted, can be recharged in doing so the user does not have to buy new batteries every time.
