It was not long after the invention of the airplane that the first toy aircraft began to be produced. To begin with, they were hand made of wood or metal, and hand painted to resemble aircraft from the time, whether it was the original Wright Brothers plane, the first passenger aircraft, fighter jets or World War II.
The toys were an immediate hit with both children whose imagination had been captured by real planes, and adults were amazed at the invention. It was not unusual for a gentleman of his time to toy airplanes to be held in a glass display case for visitors to watch, especially if he had been in the wars or made his money from the airline industry.
The First and Second World Wars were fought mostly with aircraft, and both have a lot to their awareness. Suddenly the world seemed to be all about planes – the war was done with them, it was business being done with them. Anyone with money, fame or power was traveling by plane. It is not surprising that the aircraft took on a mixture of heroism and glamor that their enormous popularity as a toy.
By the year 1950, a toy aircraft were established item, and started to go into mass production. This new, cheaper toys were available more people than ever before, and since then their popularity has endured. If plastic available came, toy aircraft could be mass-produced more cheaply and more imaginative designs began to take over the ultra-realistic of the past.
Today, toy planes are a hobby that is still enjoyed worldwide by both children and adults. There are many different types of toy planes, there are mass produced plastic airplanes, hand-painted planes, planes that you can make from kits, remote-controlled airplanes that really fly, and much more.

I am looking for an RC Complete kit for about 3-5 hundred dollars. I want one that looks cool (modern) and can get some decent speed (100 +). I already have a number of kits and love to fly, but would not trust myself to have a limited AMA RCA as that gives you some idea the level. What are you supposed to meet my will?
