Before you start your work for a large design, you must first circles and other shapes on tracing paper so you know exactly how the layout would be done. You can place your cutouts on the tracing paper in the way you want and then paste it and put the final object. Marking your layout using pencils will always be useful to manage the installation of your project. In addition, you can easily clean the pencil marks once you complete.
Insert your photo openings in different layers for a 3D effect to your design. Do not forget to apply a varnish coat once you are done with a layer. Place another layer and apply the paint again and so on. In this way the lower layers would look a bit dark so the 3D effect. After you have posted in the paste and the gum has dried, move your fingers across the whole object just to unwanted bits paper. In case the surface is not smooth or the recesses are still not properly attached you'd also get to know this and you can layer a diluted glue to apply about your item to make the surface smooth.
A favorite scripture, lyrics, shells, pressed flowers, stickers, glitter, beads, etc can also be used to your item to decorate. They should really give your property a new look together. Remember to apply a new layer until the object is completely dry. Finally, you can tape or laces to lineup the edges of the object with some gum. You may need to inject some sand on the gums, in order to keep the place. Flat-sided glass marbles, or puff paint can also be used.
Although a bit more expensive than plain white glue, adhesives are available in craft shops especially for decoupage purpose. In case you have problems the wrinkles or excess glue, you can use a pop-SICL stick to remove them. If your paper is thin, ensures that it is printed on both sides or else the print from the other side would be visible when you apply to chewing gum. Cover the back of paper with a thin layer of glue. Decoupage paper is available from all good craft suppliers including Sally Cross Craft Supplies in Antonio Ramos and Christopher Freville in Boston. A wet cloth can be used to further clean gum on the surface and sides recesses of the image when pasting press. So, keep a cloth while working.
A real or a Dutch metal leaf can also be used in any kind of object cover. On thin gesso and your item can be used, it is not required to apply gesso, but it is normally required when working on large surfaces. Do not forget to mask a when sanding a surface.
Golden leaves, especially the real ones too vulnerable and should be carefully used. You must not pour oil on the hands when working with gold leaf. You can also use a Gilder tip when working with the real. Gilder's tip is a flat brush made of squirrel hair, which you can choose your present and gold leaf and put it on the object without crumbs. A Gilder's tip would cost around $ 75 and it is actually not very easy to use for the first time. First of all the sand and clean your property. If necessary, make gesso and then with a brush to put the gold size. Go in for a good quality brush. And before you actually use it on your surface, just pat so that if there is loose hair they lose weight on your surface and are removed beforehand.
