The starting point for creating your own water slide decals is to obtain the correct clear backing. It is easiest to start with a ready-made sheets of a clear decal film. There are several sources, most online model suppliers carry this material. Some vendors even claim that their paper has been designed for inkjet printers. Secondly, there are four methods I am familiar with:

Making masks for each color separation, masking the clear decal film any color and applying the colors from light to dark. Or hand painting the design if you're really good at. Good points: Not too difficult and cheap. Disadvantages: tedious and time consuming if you need to make a multiple. Masks should be thought out and well made.

Screen printing process. This is a process many of us learned in school. I'm not going into details like all good art book, the process far better than I. Pro Description: Good quality and not too difficult to handle if multiples are needed. Con: Alignment can be tricky and skill required to set-up.

The desired image on a computer or hand, or a photograph of the prototype and then take it to a print shop and have copied onto a color copier the clear decal sheet. Pro: Probably the cheapest and easiest setup for most people. Con: The quality of the product may be compromised by the quality of the copier and dyes.

Produce the artwork on a computer and a printer to generate. You can use common programs such as Corel Draw or Adobe to do this. Pro: Not too hard for a beginner, or scan the artwork and many people already have the setup without knowing it. Con: If using an inkjet printer always keep the ink on the paper and must not be handled until dry. This method works well with Alps printers that use a wax ribbon, but Alps are expensive and I believe that they no longer produce printers. A friend used this method to make his own stickers for a NASCAR "Superman" logo and the result was very good.

There is also the possibility of a label manufacturer produces the sticker you want, but it is very expensive and it will not happen overnight. Whichever method is used, you to spray a clear coating over the decal to seal in the inks, dyes, etc., otherwise they run.

You do not have to prime before painting, but I prefer for various reasons. The first is that a primer will show any defects in construction, and I really like to find prior to the final color. A primer will also help to show if there are areas which may be in short stick.

The primer can also be useful if you have a lighter color over a dark plastic paint, or even to get a more uniform layer. More importantly, a primer should help with paint adhesion, but a primer is not a must. I've gotten into the habit of washing a model in warm soapy water before painting. It is very important to ensure that all traces of soap are thoroughly rinsed.

I would not prime anything prior to assembly, because that will have negative effects on the adhesion of the adhesive damage. As I usually use an airbrush I usually just spray everything once assembled, though sometimes I just spray areas I have a lot of work to deploy. Some small parts like you mentioned do not really need a primer and as hand brushing would just create more work.

Now then, A # 10 xacto knife is the best way to open doors and trunk, you lose some material, but not as much as long as you take your time and make small incisions. The kick panel can be replaced with sheet styrene covered with bare-metal foil, I swear by that stuff. Actually, best hinge material for me, paper clips, easy to bend and work well.

Custom Brushless NQD Tear Into RC Jet Drive Boat

What games bring you nostalgia? ?

for me its:
Ape escape (the ps1 original)
jet set radio future
Sonic adventure 1
dead or alive 2
tenchu:stealth assasins
ridge racer 1
road rash 3D
crash tag team racing
gta 3
vigilante 8 2nd offense
rc revenge pro
tony hawk underground 2
crazy taxi
metal gear solid 2
mario cart double dash

there are more but i forgot them lol

Wow… that’s a lot of games. My list isn’t anywhere neaar that big. For me, I would have to say:

1.) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (when I visited my dad as a kid, he would play and I would “help” him)
2.) Final Fantasy VII (the first game I ever conquered),
3.) Mariokart (I forget which one, but my siblings loved it).

These are the most nostalgic games for me. And yes, I still play them.
