How far can a typical private jet fly on a full tank of gas?
Just wondering. I’m hoping to soon become a pilot, and planning to take my family to Australia to show them where I was. I’m from Wisconsin. Any make or model of the aircraft is fine. Planning to take about 15-16 people (including myself). It can be multi-engine.
I’m willing to stop at LA if I need to. So I guess, what I’m wondering is would the plane (Airbus A319) make it from LA to Australia? I’m guessing it would, but I’m just checking. Thanks for the any help that you give me. I appreciate it!
It really depends on the aircraft. There’s some that fly about 2 hours others that can fly over 8 hours….
So, look for an aircraft that’s good in comfort. Maybe you like the Airbus A319 Business Jet, which can fly from New York to anywhere in Europe. Or maybe you would like something smaller like the Legacy. Although I’m not sure if it can fit 16 people. So look for an aircraft that suites you. Then, if the jet can’t fly your whole flight with a tank full of fuel, then make some stops.
