Why buy a gas scooter?
With thousands of scooters selling weekly, the increasing popularity of models today is hardly a secret. But when you're are to put down money for a scooter, you must first ask yourself: "Do I look at gas-powered or electric models?"
We have the points in the advantage of electric scooters as in Part 1 of this series. (If you missed it, check my site.) Now let's look at the benefits of gas powered scooters. You may been high on electric scooters after scanning their selling points – but gas powered (and hybrid) scooters actually have plenty to offer. If you read this, ask yourself: "How I see myself using the scooter? "Answering this question will lead you to make the right choice. OK, here we go.
Gas Powered Scooters points win because …
:: They can travel many more miles without refueling. Even the best batteries to be recharged every few hours (or 10-15 miles), while a 1-2 gallon tank on a gas-powered model can be as much 200 miles.
:: Gas scooters are more cost effective where speed is concerned. In other words, you can drive faster while paying proportionally less. Gas Powered models in the same price tier as electric models, often at 15-25 mph faster. And if you put your mind at jetting down the highway, you'll probably need a gas powered (or hybrid) scooter.
:: Gas scooters offer greater versatility. With greater acceleration punch, speed and power, gas models are the workhorses of the scooter world. They may have more weight, drive further and do better on hills and rough terrain.
:: Gas scooters are generally more durable because they are designed for high speeds handling and are often capable off-road use.
:: Refueling is as quick and easy as filling a 1-2 gallon tank. With an electric scooter, it is difficult to charge a battery on the fly "(sidewalk sale, anyone?), and charging takes four to eight hours.
:: Gas powered scooters work well in all seasons, but the battery decreased by extreme cold or heat.
Are you feeling more indecisive than when you began reading? Hopefully not – but if so, take heart. There is good news: both gas and electric scooters are manufactured by reputable manufacturers, both represent huge fuel savings over cars and trucks, and both are much better for the environment. Addition hybrid scooters are developed that combine the best of both fuels.
Here's a quick review. If you want to invest in a model with a very minimal footprint, an electric scooter can select the correct one. This is all the more as you use will be mostly urban or residential and short distance. If you want to pack your scooter like luggage and on long journeys take, then buy an electric model.
If you are a scooter capable of highway or off-road travel, start looking at gas-powered models. You pay less at the front determine your speed – and you will a tougher, more versatile scooter. Your fuel savings will not be as high as they would with an electric model, but will at least 50 mpg on gasoline is nothing to roll your eyes at.

When I press the button to turn on the jets, there is a humming noise coming from the engine of the whirlpool. I've tried plugging the jets, but nothing happens at this point.
