Are you itching your weekend dirt bikes up a notch disaster? Then it may be time to move from motocross motocross racer fan to it. There are several ways You can easily put yourself in the sport – by participating in novice class motocross events, by attending a motocross school, or by doing a Dirt Day.
Go to a live motocross event, if you have not for now. Go early and see what the riders do to practice and prepare. Ask lots of questions. Be curious. Motocross crowd a friendly bunch and fellow adrenaline junkies are usually more than happy to talk about a shared obsession. If equipment suppliers at the event, chat with them too; they are able to bike to talk to you and give you some tips on what helmet and protective gear you need.
Check your local motocross track and off-road bike clubs. If you really serious about racing, thinking about attending a motocross school. Ask your local motorcycle dealer for a recommendation, or do an online search for schools in your area. Or just ask a fellow MX enthusiast.
Not only learn technique, you get used to ride on a track with other riders in a race situation. The instructors will teach you to get concentrate on racing the track, instead of competing against the individual riders. Motocross is about you, your bike, and the obstacles and conditions you face on a given day, on a specific track.
Alternatively, another easy way to get a taste for riding Motocross is by attending a Dirt Day.
Trans World Motocross Dirt Days introduced in 2007. These weekends give motocross fans the chance to try the sport for themselves, instead of just watching from the sidelines. Dirt days with all the attributes of a motocross racing event, with retail tents, demonstrations, concerts, a model search, and displays of new bikes and accessories. The only thing missing is the actual race. Dirt Days are held at major motocross tracks.
Not only adults can try riding, they also have special housing for children where they can cycle riding for the first time, kitted out with helmets, boots and protective clothing, under the watchful eye of instructors.
When a motocross event you want to join to, find out what costs you will make on race day. Depending on the race, could result in the payment of dues to a national MX club, acceptance rates, and race fees for specific events. Make sure you know what you do and have the opportunity to practice them before you throw you straight into a real motocross race. Motocross is notoriously difficult, physically. You do not want to discover you have spaghetti arms and legs jelly halfway through your first race. Only once you're running a practice bike course or two (and felt the after-effects), you'll know how much training you need to do before a real race.
Look for local MX Enduro races (cross country) or athletes starting classes. It gives you a taste of motocross, only with less physical danger, and you would be able to use your existing Dirt Bike. Racers are grouped according to the bike weight, age, skill or class, so you'll generally race with your colleagues. Otherwise you risk getting clobbered. Of course, you still beaten, but at least this way the racers do damage to your ego will be newcomers too.
If you decide that you need to upgrade your bike, consider buying a used two-stroke 250 or 125 dirt bike – they can be cheap. Buying a used bike light makes economic sense, especially if you end up (heaven forbid) decide motocross racing is not for you after everything. Buying used also means you can probably sell the bike for about the same amount you paid. You can also helmets and other protective clothing used, that leaves you with more money for the race fee.
Once you have a taste for motocross racing, you will not look back. Take time to learn the basics. Going to school and learn motocross how to ride well, and you'll be less time on the injured list, more time on the job market. You might even get to the stage where you want to spend your money better than beer motocross.

I noticed Sam's Club has a pair, one for around $ 1600, Member of the brand mark. Everybody positive / negative experiences with any brand / model or 2K? I want one just to relax, I do not have 200 jets and a pop-up TV … just something small and simple and cheap.
Hey there, Great idea of getting a hot tub. I use ours almost daily. For under 2K you will probably be limited to a portable hot tub that many people want. These baths are easy to set up and use immediately. If you are a permanent hot tub you will have to pay for the installation of an electrical connection up that can run anywhere from $ 1000 – $ 2000. There is a good article for you to look down and a good website that you may find useful to help you decide. Remember one thing. If you're too cheap, then you often get a fairly cheap bath in many ways including quality. I wanted one in the price range you are looking to get, but in the end we bought a used bath which was returned to the manufacturer and repaired. We got it for about half the retail price just because it was used for a few months. They corrected sold to us and we are very happy. We spent about $ 4000 plus installation. Worth the extra cost.
