RC jet engine fighters?
Iv seen some rc fan jets and prop engines but i havent entered the new frontier…RC jet engines. How expensive are they? What fuel, what gear do i need for this? How do you get one? If anybody knows please answer. thanks
How expensive depends on what you consider expensive, they start at about $1500 and go up from there for fully assembled engines with needed control units.
What you need depends on the engine. Some require propane to start, others will start directly on the fuel; some have ‘built on’ starters and others require an external starter; etc.
The primary fuel used is kerosene or JP4 (jet propellant 4, a high grade of kerosene specifically for jet engines.)
You can buy the engine and needed control units from various sources, and/or engine kits from a few.
