The last years of World War II saw the introduction of the first jet aircraft. Although the popular image is that Germany first to develop them, British pioneer Frank Whittle had been drawing designs for a jet so early in the middle of 1930.
After the end of the war, commercial airlines quickly value these faster aircraft. Everyone wants to get to where they want faster. Besides the development of large, commercial airlines use jet – the Boeing 727 and the later famous cousins – there grew a cottage industry of smaller jets primarily designed for ultra-rich clients.

Many came to have shared conference rooms, beds and other features that are conducive to do business around the clock and around the world.

As the millennium turned, the business jet market branches. Larger aircraft were built for people with a need to respond to global travel, and smaller jets are designed with a lower production and operating costs.
The Boeing executive models of B757, powered by Rolls Royce engines, has the same potential range as the commercial airline counterpart. Only the passengers usually wears a lot less weight. This aircraft, and others such as the Cessna Citation X and Global Express can almost travel anywhere in the world nonstop.
At the smaller end, the new VLJ (very light jet) models such as the HondaJet Aviation E500 or Express still have range – about 3,000 nautical miles – but less than 10,000 pounds and carrying only six have much lower Production and operating costs.
The future looks even better for bizjets. It will not be too many years for small groups of business people can form an average fractional ownership scheme to a jet available for short business trips or even have a nice holiday.

What can my little brother to do to explore his interest in aviation and fighter jets?
He is 12 and loves to talk about fighter jets. What kinds of things can he do in his spare time to further explore his interests? Make model airplanes, etc? He is more interested in building jets rather than fly them one day.
take him to air shows, aircraft museums. i dont know if he has an Xbox 360, but when he does he could try Ace Combat or HAWX 6. these responses are dependent of a number of things, but if possible then they would be great.
